The team recently launched a major platform expansion encompassing end-to-end data and AI solutions for Fortune 100 clients. You will play a critical role in formalizing undocumented customer implementations into reusable solution-ready assets, which are central to onboarding, training, and eventually powering AI-driven automation.

    • Scope: 20 hours per week

    • Location: Remote

    • Start Date: Est July

    What You'll Do

    • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
Partner closely with highly technical team members (engineering, solution architects, product leads) to extract deep product and system knowledge—especially from individuals who may not document their work by default.

    • Standardize & Streamline Documentation:
Audit and synthesize existing documentation fragments into standardized, scalable templates that reflect internal best practices and industry conventions.

    • Create Solution-Ready Documents:
Develop a library of high-value, customer-facing technical documents, including:

      • Reference Architectures for Production-Grade Systems
      • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
      • Hardware Architecture Guides
      • Point Solution System Setups
      • Benchmarking & Scale Requirements
    • Perform Gap Analyses:
Assess existing materials and discussions to identify documentation gaps, ensuring final outputs are complete and capable of supporting AI training and cross-team automation.

    • Support AI Enablement:
Contribute to initiatives focused on scaling knowledge and building artifacts that can support downstream machine learning and AI documentation automation use cases.

    • Participate in Strategic Workshops & Offsites:
Ideally attend a July in-person or virtual offsite with technical leadership to help align on draft templates and document priorities.

    Key Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience writing technical documentation for enterprise software, data platforms, or developer products.
    • Strong grasp of solution architecture, system design, and infrastructure documentation.
    • Experience with enterprise IT environments; familiarity with architectural patterns, failover setups, latency considerations, etc.
    • Comfort interviewing SMEs and engineers to extract knowledge and synthesize complex systems.
    • Proven ability to standardize and templatize across different contributors and source materials.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database platforms
    • Background working in companies focused on open-source technologies, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps
    • Familiarity with training data prep for LLMs or internal knowledge bots
