Job Summary:
We refer to this position as our Tech & Tinker Wizard! This position is be responsible for ensuring that all arcade games, building systems, and equipment are in optimal working order. You’ll combine your skills as a game technician and facilities maintenance expert to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide variety of arcade games, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and general building infrastructure. Your role will be essential in providing guests with a seamless experience while ensuring the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Arcade Game Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair technical issues with arcade machines, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
Perform routine maintenance on arcade games to prevent malfunctions and extend equipment life.
Ensure all arcade machines are functioning properly and safe for guests to use.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
Collaborate with the General Manager and other team members to set up or upgrade games as needed.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and building structures (floors, walls, ceilings, windows).
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility systems.
Repair and maintain safety systems such as fire alarms, emergency lights, and security systems to ensure operational compliance.
Kitchen equipment PM and repair.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular safety checks and identify hazards or issues that may affect guest or staff safety.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including your work areas and equipment.
Emergency & Routine Response:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks to minimize disruptions.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues affecting the arcade, kitchen, bar, or overall facility.
Inventory Management:
Maintain a supply of necessary tools, materials, and equipment for game repairs and facility maintenance tasks.
Track inventory levels and recommend orders for parts or supplies as needed.
Collaboration & Communication:
Communicate with the General Manager and other departments about scheduled maintenance, ongoing repairs, and any potential impacts on operations.
Work with contractors or third-party service providers for specialized tasks.
Assist the team in setting up and breaking down event areas as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a game technician, facilities maintenance technician, or in a similar role.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of arcade game systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Ability to repair and maintain arcade machines (hardware and software), as well as a wide range of building systems.
Familiarity with safety protocols, local building codes, and equipment standards.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Ability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (e.g., gaming equipment, building materials, tools).
Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights as required.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures, noisy environments, and with mechanical equipment.
Working Conditions:
Work will be performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, including the arcade, kitchen, bar, and event areas.
This role may require you to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on facility needs.
You may be exposed to mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, and potential noise levels from arcade games.
