The System Payroll Manager role is responsible for providing exceptional service to the PIH Health employees and physicians, by overseeing daily payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate payroll and payroll tax processing. This includes managing the payroll and timekeeping systems, maintaining internal controls and audit trails, effective communication with PIH Health personnel and coordinating payroll accounting related activity. The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading payroll, and payroll system related projects to meet these payroll needs of PIH Health and help ensure compliance. This position will work with the System Director of Payroll on leading and developing the Payroll Team, from a talent pipeline perspective as well as from a system and process improvement perspective. It is a secondary strategic partner for our internal stakeholders by assisting the System Director of Payroll with providing insightful functional and system analysis. This position must maintain and adhere to the highest compliance standards with regards to our payroll and time keeping policy as well as personnel information.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Healthcare payroll experience preferred.
• HCM/Finance system knowledge preferred.
• Five years’ payroll experience using an automated time and attendance system.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred:

• ADP experience preferred.
• Healthcare/hospital experience preferred.
