The Supply Chain Intern role is a position focused on ensuring continuity of supply through close collaboration with both the buyers, planners and suppliers. System maintenance is a key responsibility of this role. This includes ensuring master data is accurate, managing system alert notifications and supporting vendor order data. Job description Purchasing of direct and/or indirect materialsOccasionally performs negotiations and determines most competitive solutions while using a wide degree of creativity and latitudeOrder and Expedite direct/indirect materials and problem identificationReview and create Purchase Orders for accuracy and ensure approved suppliers are utilized and PO's are correct.Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.Ensure that procedures comply with company purchasing policies.Support department and buyers on special projects.Identify and obtain cost reduction opportunities.Communicate with suppliers concerning price requests, incorrect invoicing, etc.Coordinate with plants to ensure on-time delivery of materialsTakes an active role in achieving the departments Goals and initiatives in all aspects of their work. Works daily to achieve their individual yearly goals developed during the yearly review process. You are meant for this job ifHigh school diploma or equivalent.Current college student in last semester of graduation or pursuing master’s degree.
