Technologist - Legal Technology & Innovation Specialist
Dellino Family Law Group is seeking a Technologist to serve as our in-house technology and innovation resource. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply curious about technology, fluent in modern tools (including AI), and motivated by designing systems that are efficient, scalable, and human-centered. The Technologist will act as a resident technology expert, bridging the gap between legal professionals and the tools that support them. This is not a traditional IT support role. Instead, it focuses on process improvement, technology optimization, experimentation, and strategic implementation, with a strong emphasis on AI, automation, and practical innovation in a law-firm environment. Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Innovation • Serve as the firm’s internal expert on emerging legal technology, AI tools, and productivity platforms • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and improve efficiency across legal, administrative, and marketing teams • Research, test, and recommend new software, tools, and integrations aligned with firm goals • Stay current on developments in legal tech, generative AI, automation, and data security best practices • Interface with technology vendors, evaluate offerings, and make recommendations to the CEO and COO AI & Automation • Lead the evaluation and responsible deployment of AI tools, including generative AI, document automation, research tools, and internal knowledge systems • Develop internal guidelines and best practices for AI usage, including ethical considerations and data protection • Train attorneys and staff on effective, compliant use of AI and advanced productivity tools • Build prompts, workflows, and systems that meaningfully support attorneys and staff Systems & Process Improvement • Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks • Design and implement improved processes using technology, automation, and thoughtful systems design • Collaborate with firm leadership to align technology initiatives with strategic priorities • Assist with integrations across practice management, billing, document management, CRM, marketing, and communication platforms Internal Support & Enablement • Serve as a high-level internal resource for technology questions and problem-solving • Translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical users • Create documentation, SOPs, and training materials for systems and workflows • Partner with outside vendors, consultants, or IT providers as needed Qualifications: • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and innovation • Strong working knowledge of modern software ecosystems and productivity tools • Experience using and evaluating AI tools, including generative AI and automation platforms • Familiarity with a variety of technology stacks, integrations, and cloud-based systems • We are a Mac-based firm using Google Workspace, Clio, LawMatics, Dialpad, and related tools. Familiarity is preferred but not required. • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically • Excellent communication skills and comfort working across teams with varying levels of technical fluency • Willingness to travel occasionally within Washington State and domestically for industry conferences • Building or coding software is not required for this role Compensation: $75,000 - $125,000 yearly
