Quarterly Part-Time in Ruston, LA - Entry Level Reports to Development Manager

SUMMARY

We are looking for a qualified entry-level software developer to help develop and test software programs. An excellent Software Developer must have sufficient technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to collaborate with software stakeholders including client, software designers, QA, management, and other develop resources. They must also be customer-oriented and composed, to deal with demanding timelines. Your goals will be to build value for clients that will help protect the company's character and business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement new software programs
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Design and update software database
• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related major required
• Ability to develop applications utilizing C# and ASP.NET (MVC, WPF, WebAPI, etc.)
• Ability to design and develop web, desktop, and mobile applications
• Scripting with JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Database development for MS SQL Server and MySQL
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
• Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
• Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
• Strong attention to detail
