    Every student is capable of achieving academic success, yet the public education system was not designed to meet students of color where they dream — instead they marginalize them and underestimate their abilities. TAF partners with school districts, educators, and organizations to challenge the current public education system. We address the entire public education system, from top-to-bottom, providing STEM skills and equitable, anti-racist education environments where all students can succeed and by working with emerging and established education leaders of color to improve representation at every level. We:

    • Co-manage two public STEM schools where we provide industry-relevant and equitable curriculum and experiences
    • Partner with existing public schools and coach students and staff using our successful STEMbyTAF learning model
    • Empower early-career educators and established school leaders of color through educational equity and liberation pedagogy

    The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily functioning of TAF's organization. Reporting to the Operations Manager, they are an integral part of the Operations team. This team is responsible for equipping staff with the necessary resources and tools to support their success. The coordinator's responsibilities include managing both the Bethaday Community Learning Space (BCLS) Rentals and the maintenance schedule, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to staff, tenants, and guests.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Administrative Support

    Check general email box daily

    Check USPS mailbox and disperse mail accordingly distribution to TAF and tenants

    Maintain rapport with customers, managers, and tenants by arranging continuing contacts; researching and developing new services and strategies; setting priorities; resolving problem situations

    Provides information by answering questions and requests

    Manages the supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; place orders for the office supplies

    Verify receipt of received packages

    Facilities Support

    Greet and direct guest at the front desk

    Oversee the Outlook BCLS reservation Calendar & Events

    Manage BCLS Maintenance Calendar

    Research, schedule and coordinate facility vendors for miscellaneous maintenance needs

    Schedule Annual Maintenance BCLS Walk-through

    Provide support for annual reporting

    In case of an emergency, ensure timely follow-up with vendors for repairs

    Remain on budget seeking the best prices for supplies and services

    Rentals

    Must be able to lift furniture up to 50 pounds

    Efficiently handle rental inquires using the Tripleseat venue software. This involves comprehensive management and review of accounts receivable, contacts, booking, events, tasks, and calendar

    Schedule tours and conducts rental tours for client's

    Follow up with clients to encourage and collect reviews for the BCLS website

    Social Media/Website

    Manage and create posts for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LikedIn, and Youtube)

    Manage the BCLS website updates

    Produce online Newsletter mailings and create and maintain a newsletter schedule

    **Qualifications & Skills **

    Strong Writing Skills

    Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to pay to details

    Able to communicate in all forms (emails, phone, person to person)

    Must have at least 2-years experience planning/coordinating events

    Experience working facilities operations and rentals is a plus

    Must pass all required criminal and child abuse background checks

    Demonstrate a commitment to racial equity by actively engaging in anti-racism efforts, advocating for it both within and outside the organization, and working collaboratively to recognize and and personal biases

    **Education & Experience **

    2-years facility related experience or associate degree in a related field preferred

    Moderate to high proficiency and aptitude in Microsoft 365 and OneDrive

    Word Press skills

    Experience working in Nonprofits Experience working with Diverse Populations

    Language Skills: Skills Fluency in languages other than English is a plus
