Job Description

Technology Associates, Inc. seeks a JR.TECHNICAL WRITER / DOCUMENT CONTROL ADMIN. This position requires 2+ years of technical writing experience.

A Jr. Technical Writer shall plan, develop, write, edit, proofread, and finalize engineering reports and manuals. Shall research, develop and document technical design specification and test manuals. Analysis documents for standards and procedures. Manage updates and revisions as required. Support work will be for marine vessels and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, etc. and includes maintaining configuration control of specific key project documents.

• The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in English language or Technical Writing. Alternatively, proven working knowledge may be considered enough.
• Candidate shall possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills, MS Office proficiency, strong attention to detail, write in explanatory and procedural style.
• Technical Writing experience related to marine vessels such as oceangoing vessels, patrol vessels, offshore support vessels, research vessels, tugs, and barges is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and team working skills are a must.
• Person shall be able to either come full time or part time to handle document control.
• The ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced environment is imperative.
• They should be willing to travel occasionally.
