    A family-owned mechanical contractor with over 60 years of delivering complex construction projects across the Southeast, is seeking an IT leader to drive their technology transformation.

    Day-to-Day Snapshot

    • Architect and drive the technology roadmap, including network, cloud, ERP, BIM, and field applications.

    • Evaluate and deploy automation/AI tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, TensorFlow, Azure ML).

    • Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable (servers, cloud, endpoints, vendor SLAs).

    • Build the data layer with robust governance, quality checks, and analytics pipelines.

    • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a lean, high-trust IT team and specialist partners.

    • Own the IT budget and present tech spend as board-ready ROI stories.

    • Champion cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and industry compliance (e.g., NIST, CMMC-lite).

    • Audit infrastructure, licensing, and cybersecurity posture.

    • Publish a 12-month technology roadmap tied to measurable KPIs.

    • Lead a vendor bake-off for cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.

    About You

    • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, with at least 3 years modernizing mid-market infrastructure or construction technology.
    • Proven success deploying automation/AI solutions that reduce costs or cycle times.

    • Expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP, ERP systems (e.g., Spectrum), Procore/Autodesk AEC, Revit, and modern RPA stacks.

    • Strong data-governance mindset, with the ability to create decision-quality dashboards from complex datasets.

    • Clear communicator who can pitch a business case to the CFO and whiteboard a failover diagram with sysadmins.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (PMP or cloud certifications are a plus).
