As our client continues to grow and promote from within, they need a skilled PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER who can take on an integral role in creating scalable SaaS products with this fun and fast-paced platform team! Your position will be imperative in providing the tools, services, and capabilities to the engineering teams.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

• Contribute heavily to the creation of the platform foundation that products will be built upon
• Coach and mentor a growing team of platform engineers throughout the SDLC
• Cultivate a thorough understanding of business challenges and obstacles faced by the engineering team in order to proactively develop technical roadmaps and software architecture designs
• Collaborate frequently with various stakeholders and architects to continuously refine software designs
• Work in conjunction with less experienced engineers to prototype and implement systems

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of Java development and implementation experience (hands-on experience with a recent version of Java required)
• Several years of experience leading systems design
• Proven ability to build deep professional relationships as you proactively manage a variety of stakeholders and mentor the platform engineering team
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Previous development experience with other modern tech stacks will also be useful
