The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the custom integration field, can build professional trade partner relations, and is driven to always meet or exceed their sales target while ensuring a positive client experience. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the residential and commercial custom integration industry and utilize that knowledge and experience to assess client needs and provide a solutions-based design with the design team and other sales team members that leads to sales from company-provided leads.
What You'll Be Doing
Schedule and perform initial consultations with prospects that determine client needs and propose customized smart space solutions.
Networking, attending industry events, and building relationships with existing and new builders, designers, and architects.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with trade partners to drive referral business.
Collaborate with system designers and stakeholders to create and present tailored proposals.
Stay informed on the latest technology trends and product offerings.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the company's growth.
Manage existing and prospective clients through the following means
On-site meetings to discuss options available to match the solutions desired by the client
Prepare a technical Scope of Work from the company template to outline solutions expected from the client
Collaborate with the design throughout the design process to ensure all aspects of the client's technology needs are included
Prepare a client-facing Scope of Work that will be attached to the design proposal
Thoroughly review proposals with the scope of work, prints, line drawings, and any other project documentation available
Present the design proposal to clients in person when this is an option. Otherwise, via Zoom or phone conversations.
Upon acceptance of the proposal salesperson is responsible for leading a kickoff meeting in the office with other team members who will execute the installation.
Onsite kickoff meeting will occur the day installation begins to make introductions between the client and team, and review the installation process and the solutions that are being installed to ensure the client is educated on the installation process and properly set expectations.
Upon project completion salesperson is responsible for a system walkthrough with the client and lead technician to ensure a successful user training session and signing of the client satisfaction form.
Client follow-up in 2-4 weeks post completion for feedback and to address any questions, concerns, etc from the client.
Coordinate with project management if a follow-up site visit is needed with a technical staff member
Track all opportunities through the company CRM with updates weekly for new opportunities, ongoing status updates, and projections
Meet quarterly and annual sales goals
What You Bring to the Team
Minimum BS degree, or high school, technical degrees, and equivalent work experience.
2+ years in a sales or business development role
Minimum 5 years of experience in the AV industry in one of the following areas
Sales (preferred)
Design
Business Development
Installation
Programming
Must have previous experience in positions of responsibility in client sales and prospect cultivation.
D-tools SI experience is highly preferred.
Proven record of A/V sales exceeding $2.0 MM annually.
Hands-on experience with demonstrating structured cabling systems, surveillance systems, audio/video systems, network systems, lighting control systems, and automation systems.
Strong client interface and verbal/written communications required.
Time management and sales coordination skills are required.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region (travel may be required to other client-designated areas as agreed upon with the employer).

Control Systems: Centralized control systems that integrate lighting, climate, entertainment, and security for seamless home management.
Audio/Video Solutions: High-end audio and video systems for single-room and whole-home entertainment, including home theaters and multi-room audio setups.
Lighting Control Systems: Lighting solutions that deliver customizable scenes, remote control, intelligent integration, smart lighting fixtures, and automated shades.
Networking Solutions: Robust commercial-grade networking systems ensure fast, reliable, and secure internet connectivity across all devices.
Security Systems: Comprehensive security solutions including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems to ensure safety and peace of mind.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a 30-minute meal break.
What We Offer
Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience
Commission and bonuses: Sales commission with significant earning potential, with quarterly performance bonuses based on sales achievements.
Total Compensation: $120,000-$160,000
