SUMMARY:
The Technology Technician plays a crucial role in managing equipment, maintaining records, and providing IT support to ensure the continuity of systems and tools. This position involves responsibility for overseeing equipment management, personnel logs, and IT training records. Additionally, the Technology Technician serves as a light Support Help Desk resource, offering advice, implementing solutions, and ensuring the seamless operation of technology systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Management:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of technology equipment, including computers, peripherals, and other hardware.
- Track equipment inventory, conduct regular audits, and ensure proper documentation and labeling.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
2. Personnel Logs:
- Maintain accurate personnel logs related to technology staff, including hiring and termination records.
- Update personnel information, job roles, and access permissions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant organizational policies and procedures.
3. IT Training Records:
- Establish and maintain IT training records for technology staff.
- Track training progress, certifications, and skill development.
- Coordinate training sessions and ensure staff is up-to-date with relevant technology skills.
4. Support Help Desk:
- Serve as a light Support Help Desk resource, providing advice and guidance to end-users.
- Address and resolve technical issues, including software and hardware problems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement solutions and ensure system continuity.
5. System and Tools Management:
- Assist in the management and maintenance of IT systems and tools.
- Perform system updates, installations, and configurations as needed.
- Collaborate with IT staff to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in equipment management and IT support roles.
- Knowledge of IT training and development processes.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with IT systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance as required by the State of Texas.
2. Must have access to reliable transportation in order to make required site visits or trainings
