    TITLE: Learning & Development Specialist

    START DATE: ASAP

    SALARY: $70k - $100k, depending on experience

    REPORTS TO: General Manager of Education

    LOCATION: New Haven, CT

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Led by the General Manager of Education, Learning and Development Specialists are tasked with writing and developing curriculum, presenting to technical and non-technical audiences, and training complex concepts to audiences of varied size. This includes, but is not limited to Technolutions’ learning management system, live webinars, conferences, and participating in community forums. Learning and Development Specialists collaborate and consult with various divisions throughout Technolutions such as Service and Innovation to strategize, develop, maintain, and expand scalable, highly interactive educational programs and training solutions. Ideal candidates need to be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and self-direction, while representing Technolutions articulately and with precision.

    Approximately 8 weeks of travel required including annual attendance at Slate Innovation Summit, professional conferences, and more.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of 3, preferably 5+ years of technical training experience
    • Knowledge of CRMs and, ideally, experience with Slate 
    • Comfort communicating complex philosophical and technical details to audiences of highly variable skill levels. 
    • Comfort communicating both “how-to” do something as well as the reasons why, best practices, and related context.
    • Experience in curriculum development, teaching, and/or technical writing 
    • Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment - and ability to take on individual action items and get things done quickly and expertly  
    • Experience in planning, leading, directing, and managing multiple projects at once
    • Ready to learn and understand the concerns and business needs of our users and the world of higher education  
    • Bachelor’s degree or greater required  
    • On-site, in-office work 5 days/week in our New Haven, CT office.
