WE ARE SEEKING A TALENTED STAFF ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM!

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reports directly to the Controller.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the Sales Tax and General Ledger System and overseeing daily accounting operations. This member would focus on establishing and improving company-wide efficiency, and identifying indicators that are abnormal and out of range from management expectations. The Staff Accountant is also expected to provide assistance in reconciling and preparing monthly financial statements

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Maintain General Ledger chart of accounts
• Assist in KPI tracking and reporting
• Collection calls, collection letters and third-party contact.
• Administrate fixed assets
• Monthly closing duties including system maintenance and various journal entries.
• Perform audits of monthly account transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity when preparing financial statements.
• Reconcile AR, AP and Bank Accounts
• Reconcile payroll bank statement and labor journal entries.
• Reconcile various asset and liability accounts.
• Recommend process improvements and M1 (ERP system) process improvements
• Assist in annual planning and outside audit.
• Credit card transaction tracking and reporting
• Sales and use tax administration
• Maintain accurate documentation of financial records and analysis
• Special projects and requests including sales tax audits.
• Provide back up support to AR and AP departments as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Must be conversant with the needs of the accounting staff, sales force and customers.
• Must be committed to meet project deadlines.

Subsequently, in the 1990’s, Jacques Quarrying and Mining was sold to Terex. John P Madgett III, the sole owner of Tecnetics Industries, purchased the divisions of Jacques Quarrying and Mining related to the existing Tecnetics Industries business. The acquisition company was Tecweigh Pty Ltd, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. Tecweigh Pty is a sister company of Tecnetics Industries, Inc. The Tecweigh brand has continued to grow thanks to its experienced staff of Engineers, Sales, Service, and Manufacturing team members, many with more than 20 years in the business!
