Responsibilities: • Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information • Review, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents • Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation • Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly Qualifications: • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree • A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired • Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred • Three years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is a necessity • Strong Case Management System skills. We use Case Management software. We want lawyers who are proficient in working on cases in a CM system and doing it at volume -- without sacrificing client experience Compensation: $100,000 - $350,000 yearly
