Responsibilities: Set strategy for news and marketing by profiling the consumers of TEGNAs local and national brands Assist TEGNAs news innovation efforts by synthesizing research on new TV and digital products Responsible for analyzing audience metrics and distributing daily reporting to company leadership Work cross-departmentally to provide ad hoc analyses Job Requirements Requirements: Degree-seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university; preference is for juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who will be rising seniors during their internship summer Studying statistics, market research, business, communications, or similar majors Previous experience in media, news, or research a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint Quantitative thinker with a curiosity for data and analytics Must possess excellent oral, written and digital communication skills Attention to detail, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities Optional: Digital Research tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, comScore), TV Research tools (Nielsen), Visualization (Tableau) The deadline for application submission for this internship opportunity is March 30, 2018.
