    The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment. Will provide SME level support for SolarWinds at Joint Base Andrews with potential travel to other selected locations.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide Tier 3 level Support for NOC SolarWinds environment.

    • Subject Matter Expert on SolarWinds NPM, SAM, and NCM, and growing and maintaining the SolarWinds application infrastructure.

    • Work with the Network/Systems/Applications teams and SolarWinds Support to troubleshoot and understand system faults and application performance issues.

    • Develop, support and manage complex, reports.

    • Interface with appropriate personnel to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.

    • Oversee the daily SolarWinds execution and maintain an expert view of the current SolarWinds state of operations.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certifications accepted in lieu of a degree.

    • Must hold current or obtain with 90 days of start date DoD 8570 IAT2 certification Security+ CE or higher.

    • Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance.

    • Develop sound solutions to Tier 3-4 complex problems, produce system level reports, report status to Senior level Management.

    • Proven Subject Matter Expert skills working with SolarWinds.

    • Resolves SolarWinds highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. Managing Active Directory/ADFS and DFS
