    JOB DESCRIPTION

    COORDINATES THE SCHEDULE, BUDGET, ISSUES AND RISKS OF MULTIPLE TECHNICAL AND COMPLEX PROJECTS RELATED TO ENGINEERING AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEXT GENERATION SENSORS FOR THE DOD AND COMMERCIAL SECTOR. SPECIFICALLY:

    • Manage the development, use, and maintenance of large Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using the Microsoft Project Application
    • Performs scope review, work breakdown structure (WBS) definition, activity decomposition and estimating, work package development, resource allocation, scheduling, earned value forecasting and status reports
    • Manage multiple program risk registers through inputting, monitoring, and updating cost, technical, performance risks and associated mitigation plans
    • Interfaces between multiple integrated project teams (IPTs) and various departments in the organization to coordinate the planning and scheduling responsibility for several projects simultaneously
    • Ensures assigned projects are well-organized and develops reports schedule and risk status to executive level audiences

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree
    • EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 4 years’ experience related Planning and Scheduling experience Engineering Development programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project.
    • Must have a solid understanding of the following: Schedule Hierarchy; IMP (Integrated Master Plan)/IMS Implementation (Integrated Master Schedules); Resource Loading; Earned Value Techniques; Critical Path and Critical Chain analysis, and Cost Reporting.
    • Must be familiar with, and able to effectively implement project management processes to include project planning, risk management, and integrated change control.
    • Ability to work with a variety of cost and project management computer software tools, including but not limited to COBRA, MS Office,
    • Must be detailed oriented, good communicator (oral and written), and self-starter who is able work under minimal supervision.

     

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

    • PMI Certification

    • Experience with cloud-based/web-based collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint

    • Able to excel in a fast-paced and challenging work environment

    • Self-starter who is able to challenge the norms and identify new, efficient and/or innovative ways to monitor and control program progress

    • Experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry and/or knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) a plus.
