    Job Description

    Telesforo Consulting, LLC is currently looking for engineers and cost estimators with experience working on FEMA Public Assistance projects to support FEMA recovery efforts. Candidates should have an interest in traveling to federally declared disaster areas located in FEMA PA TAC IV Zone 2, (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana) to conduct site inspections to validate infrastructure damage and record detailed damage descriptions during the site inspection.

    Ideal candidates will have the following:

    • Undergraduate degree with 5 years of field experience and a professional registration or 10 years of field experience in lieu of a professional registration; PE preferred.
    • Experience supporting the FEMA PA program and a track record of supporting applicants with large and complex recovery portfolios.
    • Knowledge of the PA program as well as the governing documents under which the program is delivered (Stafford Act, 44 CFR, PAPPG, and SRIA Legislation).
    • Experience in cost estimate development using RS Means and the FEMA CEF.
    • Experience using FEMA Grants Manager.
    • Experience developing Detailed Damage Descriptions (DDD), Scopes of work (SOW), Cost Estimates, and Site Inspection Reports.

    Assignments range from 3 months to 18 months and include expense reimbursements (flights, hotel, rental car, per diem, etc.) for the assigned area. Depending on classification, pay rate ranges from $50.00/hour to $100.00/hour. As is typical in disaster travel settings, employees may be expected to work hours in excess of 40 per week and will be paid straight time for all hours worked. All candidates must be able to pass a FEMA background investigation.
