Our Teller III performs all standard teller functions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency while delivering excellent customer service. This role also includes leadership support within the branch, assisting with training, audits, and policy updates, and serves as a key backup to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform15–20 transactions per hour accurately and efficiently.
· Cross-sell appropriate banking products and services to support client growth and retention.
· Lead daily scheduling for teller staff and serve as a point of contact during peak times.
· Conduct audits of vaults and cash drawers and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Train and mentor new tellers and host ongoing team development sessions.
· Support updates to teller manuals, policies, and internal procedures.
· Monitor and maintain the branch control binder.
· Assist with customer service escalations and complex transactions.
· Begin training in Universal Banker I responsibilities as time permits.
· Approve overrides and assist with error resolution within assigned limits.
· Conduct quality control checks and support audit readiness.
· Monitor and ensure consistent call queue participation across the teller team; coach others on effective call handling.
· Handle escalated phone calls and complex online banking issues, such as security lockouts, multi-factor authentication concerns, and system navigation.
· Conduct teller audits and manage the preparation and receipt of cash shipments in strict adherence to bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED.
· 3+ years of teller experience with demonstrated proficiency in Teller II duties.
· Proven leadership and mentoring experience within a branch setting.
Skills and Competencies
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Requirements
· Must be able to pass a background check.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
· Ability to work scheduled shifts and manage multiple priorities.
