Job Description
This role is the welcoming face of the Credit Union, delivering friendly, efficient, and accurate service to members both in person and by phone. You will support members with everyday banking needs while collaborating closely with team members across departments. This position plays a key role in creating a positive member experience and ensuring smooth daily branch operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional member service while performing teller transactions at the teller counter
• Process teller transactions received through incoming mail
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, assisting members or directing inquiries as needed
• Balance and replenish the ATM and cash vault to ensure accuracy and availability
• Prepare supply orders and submit them to the Member Service Supervisor
• Open and close member accounts as needed
• Support members with lending services, including receiving loan applications, answering questions, and assisting with loan closings
• Assist members with account maintenance such as address changes and account adjustments
• Perform ticket inventory and related tracking
• Print debit cards and process maintenance requests
• Process initial check orders and reorders for members
• Monitor negative balance deposit accounts daily and perform collections related functions
• Maintain the Farmers Branch service totals spreadsheet
• Convert free checking accounts to prime checking accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare and mail daily overdraft notices and repayment plan documents
• Scan checks for daily processing through the Federal Reserve
• Open new certificates of deposit, including printing and mailing certificates to members
• Mail birthday cards to members upon reaching milestone birthdays
• Provide backup support to employees at other branch locations as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
Teller and/or new accounts experience in a financial institution preferred.
