  • Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for developing and executing Category Strategies for defined areas of spend specifically in outsourcing and/or Contract manufacturing. The role involves defining and establishing the Sourcing Strategy and leading the strategic sourcing process. The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise in the category and understand market trends, including all phases of marketplace analysis, supplier selection, supplier relationship management, supply risk negotiation, and contracting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop comprehensive Commodity strategies aligned with stakeholders’ goals and organizational objectives.
    • Create or support robust Commodity strategies for all assigned areas, ensuring alignment with business needs, market trends, technological applications, processes, and benchmarking.
    • Manage key stakeholders related to the assigned Commodity effectively.
    • Implement a robust RFx strategic sourcing methodology and negotiate supplier agreements/contracts for goods and services.
    • Solve complex problems crucial to organizational success, leveraging experience to negotiate the lowest total cost of ownership, best price, on-time delivery, lead times, customer satisfaction, and quality.
    • Provide extensive data analysis from finance or business intelligence (BI) and market data.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
    • Lead the development of overall supply strategy for the assigned Commodity and/or categories, meeting stakeholder expectations.
    • Identify opportunities for deploying new technologies to support Commodity processes.
    • Analyze pricing and costs to benchmark best practices and pricing.
    • Oversee the supplier assessment and qualification process.
    • Offer category expertise to the global business.
    • Lead Market Analysis.
    • Collaborate effectively and professionally with individuals across various levels of the organization.
    • Work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
    • Manage Supplier Relationship Management for the top suppliers defined to be part of the program.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering (a Master’s Degree is a plus).
    • 5-10 years of experience working in a complex supply chain organization.
    • 10 years of Procurement and Supply Chain experience.
    • CPSM or CPM certification preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
    • Ability to work effectively with internal and supplier personnel at all levels, including senior management.
