Our client is looking for a niche research director of air filtration systems to lead the test and development team for their product line. 

It is a great opportunity to be on the front line for an organization that helps with the deployment of much needed equipment across the globe.

This Director of Applied Research will manage all aspects of a research lab and lead a small team of engineers and technicians in development and testing of chemical air filtration systems.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Ph.D. with 6+ years experience or BS/MS/MA with 10+ years experience in a chemical engineering related field (Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar)

• Experience with gas filters and filtration systems, in particular, those filters and systems that require extremely filtration ratios.

• A working knowledge of adsorption science and filter performance dynamics

• Hands-on experience in research laboratory processes and operations, including some experience with a range of gas detection technologies

• A track record of leading and participating successful research driven product development/improvement efforts

• Previous experience in a leading or managing role in government projects is a plus
