Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Hawthorne, CA 90250
Schedule: 2 days per week (16 hrs/wk)
Start: ASAP
Duration: ongoing
Pay range: $24-28/hr
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Director of Accounting
Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with the company’s full accounts payable cycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, necessary approvals, and proper coding
Process the inflow of invoices via email, mail, and vendor portals
Data Entry of invoices
Correspond and resolve AP inquiries quickly and accurately for both Internal (employee) and external (vendor)
Collect 1099 from new vendor to set up in Dynamics 365 and BlueCherry
File and maintain vendor files
General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
Prepare AP checks for mailing
Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience, with 2-3 years in the Apparel industry
Knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of BlueCherry a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills-able to interact with all levels of management
Ability to handle multi-faceted projects with strong follow through
Commitment to quality, motivated self-starter and takes ownership of work
