  • Responsibilities

    A well-established and growing business law firm is seeking a skilled and proactive Temporary Litigation Legal Assistant to support their expanding litigation team in the Dallas area. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and administrative skills to contribute to a dynamic legal practice.

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide high-level administrative and organizational support to multiple litigation attorneys.
    • Assist with the preparation, formatting, and proofreading of various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
    • Electronically file documents with state and federal courts, ensuring adherence to deadlines and procedures.
    • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
    • Manage attorneys' calendars, coordinating court dates, depositions, and meetings.
    • Assist with expense reports and billing-related documentation.
    • Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up on tasks.
    • Handle ad-hoc administrative duties as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 4 years of administrative experience in a legal or corporate environment, preferably supporting a legal department or litigation team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
    • Experience with legal document management software is a plus.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and protocols is required.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

    This temporary position is anticipated to last 3-6 months with a strong possibility of converting to a full-time, hybrid role in the future. This role will be primarily remote initially, with onsite requirements for trial and case-related work.

    $75,000-$90,000 per year
