A boutique civil defense litigation firm is seeking to add a Temp-to-Hire Litigation Paralegal (4915) to support its growing insurance defense practice. Formed by experienced litigators from a large regional firm, this team manages over 200 active files and works closely with major insurance carriers. These are the firm’s first dedicated support hires, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position is fully remote, and the ideal candidate will be capable of managing a caseload independently with minimal supervision. The attorneys are busy and hands-on, so this role requires strong initiative, excellent judgment, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.

** Key Responsibilities:**

• Manage case files from inception through resolution, including discovery, document management, and trial preparation
• Draft, edit, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and client-facing materials
• Gather documents, contact witnesses, and assist with investigation and case development
• File pleadings and manage deadlines using electronic court systems
• Prepare billing for insurance carriers and ensure compliance with billing guidelines
• Provide administrative support including calendar management, scheduling, and client communication
• Wear multiple hats as needed to ensure smooth case management and team support

** Qualifications:**

• Prior experience in insurance defense or civil litigation strongly preferred
• Experience litigating Washington State cases required
• Familiarity with billing insurance carriers and managing case files independently
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
