  • Responsibilities

    Plans and organizes workflow within or between departments of a manufacturing facility to expedite production by performing various tasks.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    The role of the Master Scheduler involves creating and managing the production schedule for Tempco Manufacturing. The individual will collaborate closely with production managers, quality control personnel, and other departments to ensure timely completion of all manufacturing processes in accordance with established quality standards.

    Duties include:

    1. Creating and maintaining the production schedule.

    2. Collaborating with production managers to meet staffing and equipment requirements.

    3. Working with quality control personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards.

    4. Monitoring inventory levels and adjusting production schedules as necessary.

    5. Communicating with customers regarding production timelines and deliveries.

    6. Identifying and resolving production issues.

    7. Modifying schedules based on work order specifications, priorities, and resource availability.

    8. Rescheduling processes to eliminate duplicate machine setups.

    9. Consulting with department supervisors to track work progress.

    10. Compiling reports on work progress and equipment failures.

    11. Planning production operations and establishing priorities.

    12. Assigning work orders to departments with details on units to be produced.

    13. Having a team-oriented mindset and assisting the Sr. Manufacturing Controller and General management team as needed.

    14. Working according to AS9100d and ISO13485 standards for continuous improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field and possess APICS certification.

    2. Have at least 5 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in the metal stamping industry.

    3. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    4. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    5. Be proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office.

    6. Manage multiple projects concurrently.

    7. Experience with Job Boss ERP systems is a plus.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Proficiency in working with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry. Application of concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY

    The ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpretation of various technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form while managing abstract and concrete variables.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    APICS certification.
