    We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a temporary assignment lasting several months. This is a fully on-site position based in Berkeley, California, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team while gaining valuable experience.

    Position Details:

    • Duration: Temporary assignment for a few months
    • Location: Berkeley, California (fully on-site)
    • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process high-volume accounts payable transactions in a fast-paced environment
    • Review, code, and enter vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
    • Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
    • Resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies in a timely manner
    • Prepare and process weekly payment runs including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
    • Maintain vendor files and assist with month-end closing activities
    • Support ad-hoc projects and provide backup coverage as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on accounts payable processing experience
    • Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with major platforms required)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high transaction volumes
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with vendor management and payment processing
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and month-end procedures
    • Previous temporary or contract work experience
