Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of L.U. Electric, Inc., with a focus on accurate invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. This is a temporary, part-time position that is expected to last approximately three months. The first two weeks will be full-time for training purposes. After training, the position will transition to a part-time schedule with the option for a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proactive communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Accounts Receivable Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to prepare, post, verify, and reconcile customer payments with accuracy and attention to detail.
Customer Account Management: Experience maintaining and updating customer records, managing billing adjustments, and tracking outstanding balances through consistent follow-up.
Collections & Dispute Resolution: Skilled in drafting collection correspondence, identifying delinquent accounts, and communicating with customers to resolve payment issues professionally.
Administrative & Clerical Expertise: Capable of handling clerical tasks such as filing, document retrieval, and organizing transaction records to support a well-functioning accounting department.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with customers regarding account status, billing discrepancies, and payment arrangements.
**Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: **Ability to investigate account variances and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to ensure billing and revenue accuracy.
Mastery of the English Language: Comprehensive knowledge of English language structure, including grammar, composition, and effective business communication.

Education and/or Experience - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university; or at least two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have general knowledge of GAAP.
Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations. Capable of writing professional business correspondence and presenting information clearly in discussions with managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability - Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve practical problems and address various concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Capable of interpreting instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and experience working with Office365 and RingCentral. Experience working with QuickBooks Online.
