    ** So, what will the Chef at Terrestris do?**

    ** __**As the Chef , you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared to the highest quality and safety standards. You will supervise a team of cooks and various kitchen staff in meal preparation, presentation, and cleanliness. The Chef plays a key role in training junior staff and maintaining a smooth, efficient kitchen environment.

    ** What does a typical day look like for the Chef?**

    ** __**You will:

    • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
    • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
    • Train and mentor line cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen staff.
    • Assist with menu planning, portion control, and cost control measures.
    • Perform line checks and quality control assessments throughout shifts.
    • Address and resolve kitchen-related issues during service.
    • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and management to coordinate service.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the culinary professional we're looking for if you have:

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards (e.g., ServSafe certified).
    • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    Additional physical requirements include:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity for handling kitchen equipment and utensils.
