Examples of Work Performed
- Track status of applications, process completed applications
- Communication via email or telephone
- Maintains and checks Housing & Community Services email inbox, gives information, takes messages, directs clients to appropriate Housing & Community Services staff.
- May maintain customer accounts and related records in online databases.
- Operates office machines such as multi-line telephone system, copy machine, and fax machine; may type memoranda, letters, forms and other documents such as frequently asked questions and website content.

Requirements of Work
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Ability to make mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain complex clerical records.
- Ability to understand applicable policies and procedures and to exercise good judgment in making decisions in accordance with ordinances, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Ability to stay seated for extended periods of time.
- May require attainment of passing score on pre-employment typing test.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and clients.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Required Experience
- One year of experience in performing clerical duties
This position pays $16.90 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is a temporary role expected to last until September 2025; however, as with all temporary positions, it is subject to end at any time.
