Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in South Charlotte in finding a Temporary Part-Time House Manager for their home and family of three, soon to be four. The House Manager will be needed Monday through Friday for approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility regarding the specific days and times based on what works best for both the family and the House Manager. This temporary position has the possibility of moving into a long-term role in a few months if the family feels that they need a long-term House Manager at that time.
The best House Manager for this family would be an experienced, proactive professional who excels at anticipating household needs and proactively taking care of tasks around the home. The family is relocating to the area and expecting a baby in May, and they are seeking someone who can provide comprehensive relocation and home-management support. Responsibilities will include assisting with unpacking and organizing, initial setup of the home, researching and scheduling vendors, personal shopping, running errands, and other tasks that ensure a smooth transition.
The House Manager will work closely with the family while maintaining clear professional boundaries. A strong commitment to high-quality home management is essential, and familiarity with the city of Charlotte and local vendors is a plus. It is important that the House Manager is research motivated and familiar with vendors in the Charlotte Metro Area. The House Manager should enjoy researching home vendors (Chefs, Pool company, HVAC, Designers, Dry Cleaners, Lawn care services, etc.) and ensuring the family utilizes the best vendors to meet their home’s unique needs. The House Manager would also be responsible for planning and scheduling private travel. When planning travel, the House Manager should be proactive and able to research all aspects of travel, including fun activities for the family.
The family has a 13-month-old child and a baby on the way, due in May 2026, who will be primarily cared for by a nanny and the mom throughout the day. There may be transportation needs for their oldest child, who will attend a half-day pre-school in the fall of 2026.
This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys supporting families throughout relocation, creating organization and structure, and staying one step ahead of household needs. A strong commitment to high-quality home management and discretion is essential, and familiarity with the city of Charlotte and local vendors is a plus.
