Position Overview

The Smile Institute is seeking a temporary pediatric dentist to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This is a clearly defined, short-term opportunity intended to maintain continuity of care for our pediatric patients and staff.

This role is ideal for a pediatric dentist looking for high-quality, well-compensated temporary work, with flexibility and no long-term obligation.

Key Details

Coverage period: Late April through August (approx.)

Temporary role with no long-term contract required

No non-compete or restrictive covenant

Flexible scheduling to accommodate travel or personal needs

$1,700/day guaranteed compensation

Experienced, supportive clinical and administrative team

Established pediatric patient base

When our pediatric dentist returns in September, the temporary provider may conclude the engagement or, if mutually desired, discuss an opportunity to stay on in a longer-term capacity. There is no obligation on either side.

Qualifications

DDS/DMD from an accredited dental school

Completion of an accredited pediatric dentistry residency

Active (or eligible) New Jersey dental license

NJ pediatric specialty permit (or ability to obtain)

Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
