This role is primarily focused on removing barriers to student attendance and retention through proactive outreach, data-driven intervention, and strong family partnerships.

While the position supports targeted recruitment efforts, it is not a recruitment- or enrollment-only role. Instead, the Coordinator is responsible for strengthening student engagement from onboarding through sustained attendance and persistence, ensuring that every student and family feels connected, supported, and set up for success.

This role is based at the regional office and works closely with school and regional teams, including Assistant Principals of Operations (APOs), parent liaisons, the Student Information Systems (SIS) team, and the enrollment team. The Coordinator will be specifically aligned to VOICE but will operate across campuses as needed.

    • Execute targeted outreach to families (calls, texts, home visits as appropriate) to improve daily attendance

    • Collaborate with school-based teams to implement attendance intervention plans

    Student Retention & Persistence

    • Identify early warning indicators for student disengagement (attendance, behavior, family communication)

    • Coordinate interventions and follow-up plans with school teams and families

    • Build strong relationships with students and families to increase retention and long-term engagement

    • Serve as a key point of contact for families needing additional support

    • Maintain consistent, proactive communication with families to address barriers and build trust

    • Connect families to school and community-based resources as needed

    Community Outreach & Targeted Recruitment

    • Support targeted, community-based recruitment efforts aligned to increasing equitable access

    • Represent KIPP Jacksonville at community events, meetings, and outreach opportunities

    • Collaborate with the enrollment team to ensure outreach efforts translate into student access and enrollment
