A well-established Seattle law firm is seeking a Temporary-to-Hire Legal Assistant (4932) to support a team of attorneys in its litigation and insurance defense practice. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team and handle a variety of administrative and litigation support tasks. The firm is open to considering temp-to-hire or direct hire arrangements, with competitive pay and the potential for hybrid work after an initial in-office period.

** Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide administrative and legal support to 3–4 attorneys in active litigation matters
• Manage complex calendaring and docketing in ProLaw (or similar systems)
• Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings and correspondence
• Perform state and federal court filings, including WA State ECF and Court of Appeals filings
• Create document shells and assist with case organization and deadlines
• Communicate with court personnel, clients, and opposing counsel as needed

** Qualifications:**

• 4–5 years of legal assistant experience, ideally in insurance defense or civil litigation
• Strong familiarity with Washington State and Federal court filing procedures (ECF required)
• Proficiency with ProLaw or other document management systems
• Excellent proofreading, calendaring, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication and teamwork skills
