    Winchester Homes, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic individual that thrives in a high volume, fast pace, and a team environment to fill our General Sales Manager position located in Potomac, MD.

     

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: The General Sales Managers primary focus is to work closely with the Vice President of Sales and the New Home Advisors to achieve sales and closing goals, while providing a positive, unique, and memorable customer experience. Responsibilities include staffing, training, motivating the sales team and working closely with the division's operating team to ensure that goals are met in a timely manner. This role is a great opportunity for a General Sales Manager with a proven track record to join a premium homebuilder.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Train Sales Professionals and staff regarding Company policies and procedures, including selling techniques, new homes sales, and homeowner orientation.
    • Travel between communities spending most of each day in the field working with the New Home Advisors providing intensive and on-going coaching, encouragement, training, and constructive feedback.
    • Ability to establish and monitor sales goals and budgets.
    • Maintain responsibility for performance of all sales activities within assigned communities.
    • Establish and strategically build a solid customer base.
    • Motivate the Sales team toward hitting specified sales goals.
    • Visits competitor communities to gather market data and intelligence (e.g. pricing, product specifications, release and sales information, incentives, lot premiums, options, etc.) and provides relevant information to management.
    • Works collaboratively with individual community sales representatives and division management to determine sales forecasts and closing schedules.
    • Clearly define expectations and goals for each team member through monthly goal sessions.
    • Strive to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction with all customer interactions.
    • Work with New Home Advisors to effectively manage sales backlog and implement retention strategies.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and community networks, participating in professional organizations.
    • Provide strong leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in conjunction with company goals.
    • Continually analyze the sales process to refine and improve its success, and work with upper management to establish sales reporting framework.
    • Actively and continually train New Home Advisors to reach their selling potential through the organizations systems and models.
    • Attend sales meetings to review sales strategies and status.
    • Regularly sourcing and identifying talent in the market and building a pipeline for future growth.

     

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of New Home Building Sales experience required.
    • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated progression in a Sales Management role required, a strong emphasis on coaching and training preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication required.
    • Ability to develop, maintain and measure sales strategies required.
    • Ability in multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced, team focused environment required.
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office programs, CRM (Sales Force) and DocuSign preferred.
    • Knowledge of “Jeff Shore 4:2 Sales Process” with the ability to collaborate, mentor, and coach the sales teams in consistent application of the process required.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on issues that adversely impact financial results and provide solutions preferred.
