POSITION DETAILS FOR THE INSIDE SALES TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

The Inside Sales Technician furnishes product information; prices, shipping schedules, and company information in response to customer inquiries. With the use of professional telephone skills, endeavors to convert customer inquiries into orders; processes customer orders; provides customer service and uses problem solving skills to maintain a harmonious relationship between customers and Tennalum.

The Inside Sales Technician essential functions include:

· Providing “Best-in Class” customer service which means being courteous, responsive and easy to do business with

· Entering Quotes and performing Quote follow-up

· Performing timely and accurate order entry

· Timely responsiveness to inquiries, status requests, issues, etc.

· Ability and willingness to work at a fast pace and perform several tasks concurrently

· Performing accurate math calculations (pricing, weights, percentages, and order entry detail)

· Work according to detailed procedures

· Active communication with multiple departments including but not limited to Accounting, Traffic, Planning, Technical, Quality and outside Sales personnel

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Education – Two years college or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

· Be willing to work flexible hours or overtime if needed.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Willingness to work in a team environment

· Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A high comfort level for working with various computer systems.

· Quick learner with strong attention to detail and recall ability

· Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required

· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies a plus

· Availability for occasional travel
