  • Responsibilities

    Technical liaison and support of test- and construction partners at system manufacturer, train operator and wagon builder. Consulting Service concerning selection of convenient pads and blocks for Railway application and leading development team during the implementation of customer requirements in new products.

    • Being the Technical Contact for Test- and Design engineers at our customers
    • Translate customer requirements into product requirements
    • Consultation of customers about our products
    • Consultation of our customers concerning the influence of changes on product cost and price
    • Consultation of manufacturing concerning products
    • Responsibility of product homologations
    • Product definition for IAM Support to productivity initiatives as outsourcing, etc.
    • Close cooperation with different departments (product and process eng. test, sales, marketing, production, quality etc.) required
    • Technical support of new product introduction and batch production,
    • act as a Project leader from the start through product launch for customers
    • Technical development of new markets

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION:

    • Diploma in rail vehicle engineering or mechanical engineering.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with braking systems in rolling stock.
    • Experience in Railway and –Environment.
    • Experience in the field of test benches and vehicle testing, 
    • Several years of experience with customers and suppliers;
    • Excellent knowledge of Friction and Brake Technology (manufacturing process and application), product-knowledge of brake pads and brake blocks for Railway application;
    • Excellent knowledge of PC-standard software, preferable further knowledge in SAP, CAD,
    • etc.;
    • Driver´s License III;
    • knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic braking systems for Railway applications;
    • Knowledge in new construction/maintenance of locomotives, coaches, EMU/DMU and freight
    • wagons desirable.

       

     

    LANGUAGE:

    • Excellent knowledge in English and German
    • Additional language skills preferred (French, Spanish, Swedish);
