    We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist. This position is responsible for providing overall Human Resources generalist support to the Grass Lake Engineering facility while supporting the department’s goals and objectives and working to satisfy the needs of the employees. Essential functions of this position will include employee relations, recruiting, training and overall compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support and partner with functions within the Grass Lake Technical Center facility
    • Responsible for strategic talent reviews, succession planning, and performance planning for supporting functions.
    • Review, compile and analyze salaried compensation.
    • Liaison for employees in regards to directing to the appropriate person for answers regarding benefits, payroll, etc.
    • Coordination of Workers Comp, STD and FML claims with TPA.
    • Use SAP to make necessary changes to employee data
    • Submit Personal Action Forms to Payroll to reflect any changes in pay or other compensation data
    • Assist in the facilitation of various training for employees, including Performance Management, SLT (DDI), and Targeted Selection.
    • Understand and manage to compliance the TS16949 requirements for Human Resources.
    • Assist HR Leadership Team in various projects and initiatives
    • Travel to plants in North America to provide backup support as needed

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:  

    • Minimum 3 -5 years progressive experience in Human Resources.
    • Strong understanding of HR legislative requirements/laws (State & Federal).
    • Solid interviewing experience/skills.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
    • A team player that is results driven, able to work under pressure has strong leadership skills, high energy, strong organizational skills, is empathetic and able to deal with issues in an open, honest manner.
    • Ability to effectively present information to employees and management.
    • Experience in training and facilitation. DDI certification or ability to obtain required.
    • Experience functioning in a technical environment preferred.
  • Qualifications

     

    WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

    • Bachelor's/Master degree in Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related discipline
    • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
    • Computer literate (MS Office, SAP).
    • Technically proficient in relevant computer applications.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Strong attention to detail with tremendous accuracy
    • Must have HRIS experience – SAP experience a plus
    • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
