Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated DATA ENGINEERING focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced corporate facility located in SOUTHFIELD, MI.

Strong organizational, analytical, and documenting skills
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Effective time management skills Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience with Python & SQL
Required Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the summer internship period Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science from an accredited institution Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Experience with Apache Spark, Version control systems, cloud computing services, DataFrames and command line interfaces
Examples of previous work to be viewed as part of candidate assessment process
