    We are looking for a Product Engineer to join our Braking manufacturing facility in Smithville TN. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be a valued member of the engineering team where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collect Process Data Sheet / Lining Data Sheet (PDS/LDS) data.
    • Release product and process documents to the Plant, including raw material (chemicals) specifications.
    • When needed, is supported by ME Process Experts in the plant and by the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Global organization.
    • Provide timely and meaningful data for use by the Plant for timely and quality delivery within the facility.
    • Develop, design, and specify process equipment as required by the development programs undertaken by the department.
    • Generate cost data and oversee the documentation of project activities.
    • Develop project timelines, PFMEAs, and Control Plans for Customer Requirements.
    • Assure projects meet safety, OSHA, and environmental requirements, and train operators on equipment and processes.
    • Upon implementation, provide required support to production personnel for system acceptance.
    • Determine and provide Manufacturing Costs, Tooling and CapEx requirements.
    • Develop process flows, conduct PPAPs & Manufacturing Readiness Audits.

      

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

     SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing / New Product Development and Launch environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong Project Management and Timeline Achievement skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex part prints.
  • Qualifications
    • BS of engineering.
    • 3~5 years of experience in engineering environment with preference on prior Proudct Engineering experience. Experience in automotive component design,  with textile manufacturing, chemistry & material background is preferred.
    • Experience with CAD, CATIA, UG etc. is a plus.
    • Cummunicate in English is required.
    • Outstanding inter-personal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with all levels, departments and operations of the company.
    • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
    • Team work spirit.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Knowledge of a second language, German or Japanese is helpful
