We are looking for a Product Engineer to join our Braking manufacturing facility in Smithville TN. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be a valued member of the engineering team where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect Process Data Sheet / Lining Data Sheet (PDS/LDS) data.
- Release product and process documents to the Plant, including raw material (chemicals) specifications.
- When needed, is supported by ME Process Experts in the plant and by the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Global organization.
- Provide timely and meaningful data for use by the Plant for timely and quality delivery within the facility.
- Develop, design, and specify process equipment as required by the development programs undertaken by the department.
- Generate cost data and oversee the documentation of project activities.
- Develop project timelines, PFMEAs, and Control Plans for Customer Requirements.
- Assure projects meet safety, OSHA, and environmental requirements, and train operators on equipment and processes.
- Upon implementation, provide required support to production personnel for system acceptance.
- Determine and provide Manufacturing Costs, Tooling and CapEx requirements.
- Develop process flows, conduct PPAPs & Manufacturing Readiness Audits.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing / New Product Development and Launch environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong Project Management and Timeline Achievement skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex part prints.
