We are looking for a Focus Factory Manager. This person will lead a large cross functional team that includes all team members, team leaders, group leaders, quality, engineering, production planning and continuous improvement. He/She guides the Focused Factory in its support of internal and external customer requirements and is responsible for meeting or exceeding all Focused Factory KPI’s including safety, quality, delivery and cost. The Focused Factory Leader coordinates the development of the people, processes and capabilities within the Focused Factory. This role reports to the Plant Manager or in larger plants to the Operations Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all daily activities within the Focused Factory
- Partner with the site functional managers to ensure employees who have dual reporting lines have clear expectations and roles and responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and visitors, while complying with all governmental regulations and Tenneco policies for EHS
- Create a culture of zero in the focus factory – zero accidents, zero defects, zero later orders and zero waste.
- Ensures the quality system for the area is maintained to meet ISO9001/IATF16949 standards
- Ensure products are manufactured on time and according to customer quality requirements to ensure the customer delivery schedule is met
- Manage the financial aspects of the Focused Factory (AOP, capital, etc.)
- Champion of continuous improvement activities within the Focused Factory (TBS, CI, Lean and Cost Deployment)
- Work with the staff to set Focused Factory AOP goals, reviews and maintains a pipeline of continuous improvement projects such that the AOP targets are met or exceeded
- Drive the competencies of the Tenneco Business System to develop and execute systems and processes that meet or exceed the Focused Factory goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost and material control
- Plans and manages delivery requirements, inventory levels, labor productivity and asset utilization
- Drive safety through the proper use of machines, tools and equipment. Appraise technological developments and investigate feasibility of new equipment and techniques for improvements in manufacturing methods
- Ensure quality assurance and engineering control functions are in place to ensure product reliability and conformance to customer and federal specifications in the most effective and economical manner possible
- Champion the development of all team members, mentor employee performance and establish development and improvement plans
- Prepare and report out regularly in Focused Factory and plant wide communication meetings
- Works with new product development to launch programs into production

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering or business discipline
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5+ years’ experience
- Experience supervising manufacturing operations in a high volume, high mix environment
- Experience managing multiple competing projects and priorities
- Experience managing manufacturing and workforce budgets
- Lean Continuous Improvement and project management experience
- Track record of meeting or exceeding operational KPI’s
- Prior experience driving employee engagement preferred
- Prior work experience in Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Materials Management preferred
- Prior experience with ERP systems preferred
