Ability to convey the standards created to all Tenneco regions to align on global manufacturing standards in process, equipment, tooling and product.

- Effectively lead direct reports and indirect reporting individuals.
- Builds efficiency global, for all CTOH specific process areas, to drive best in class manufacturing engineering processes and to define and achieve global standardization towards best in class cost for CTOH markets.
- Creates, maintains and updates MET CTOH business process and procedure plan to support especially aggressive growth forecast especially at APAC.
- Identifies next generation of Process / Equipment / Tooling development for CTOH manufacturing to support cost reduction opportunities.
- Partners with Product Engineering on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Utilizes technical expertise to implement/oversee the implementation of cost reduction ideas.
- Provides the technical direction & coordination for equipment installations & start-ups.
- Directs the implementation of equipment best business practices across manufacturing sites globally.
- Responsible for Capital and Tooling investment strategy for CTOH globally.
- Implements Best Cost Country Sourcing strategy for Manufacturing & assembly equipment, including test equipment and assembly tooling.
- Justifies and creates supporting documentation for Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR).
- Develops, promotes and monitors the utilization or definition of standard process, equipment, tooling and product.
- Sets equipment standards and maintains updated for the region; ensures all equipment brought into facilities are in agreement with the EH&S and Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures prototype builds follow prototype with Production intent development is accurate and encompassing in order to launch programs on time and within budget.
- Continuous improvement and product initiatives to achieve productivity initiatives including design to cost and lean manufacturing.
- Reduces Capital investments, while maintaining / improving robustness.
- Ensures Best Business Practice (BPP) is maintained and calculated to ensure best cost in all regions.
- Asset capacity planning and utilization for CTOH facilities.
- Leads meetings to track and report the progress of critical projects, identifies roadblocks to success, necessary counter-measures and amendments to development plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
** TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- ABILITY TO TRAVEL IN SUPPORT OF JOB FUNCTION (CTOH FACILITIES AT ALL REGIONS, SUPPLIERS ETC.) INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED.
Required Skills
- Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred.

- Proficiency with PC applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and flow-charting software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development, fixture design, tooling/gage design, and equipment design.
Required Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Production Operations Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of related manufacturing engineering and / or product launch experience.
- 2+ years of related engineering manager experience.
- Previous exhaust system and metal forming experience is a plus.
- Experience developing a new process for a new product, including experience with process flow and PFMEA.
- Experience working with equipment and tooling suppliers, creating statement of work, awarding suppliers and following progress through launch.
