The strategic combination of Tenneco’s Ride Performance business with Federal-Mogul’s Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe®, Walker®, Wagner®, Champion®, Fel-Pro® and MOOG®. The company’s broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.

    We are looking for an experienced Planning Analyst to join our Kettering, OH manufacturing facility. This person will be responsible for material planning and releasing of direct material from suppliers to manufacturing plants. This person will also be responsible for managing PPAP material scheduling, ECN coordination, supply WEB setup and coordination, monitor delivery performance and plant inventory targets. The person in this role will partner with maintenance and engineering to negotiate and purchase parts used for production equipment. This person will report to the Materials Manager and will become a valued member of our Manufacturing team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

    • Manage inventory levels within Tenneco targets
    • Manage and coordinate PPAP approvals
    • Coordinate and manage returnable container program
    • ECN coordination and control on purchased material
    • Planning and scheduling of purchased material to support production schedules in a multiple plant environment
    • Monitor supplier delivery performance
    • Maintain master data setup in ERP system
    • Scheduling agreement maintenance
    • Delivery follow-up and expediting
    • Support launch activities
    • Maintain premium freight database requests
    • Maintain Supply WEB for all interplant and purchased material
    • ASN/EDI compliance
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
    • Negotiate pricing for parts used on production equipment
    • Indirect purchasing and negotiating with suppliers

    Required Skills Required Experience


    Bachelor’s Degree; Management, Supply Chain, or Materials Management


    • 3+ years of Materials Management experience.
    • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (SAP or related system).
    • Customer service oriented – Needs to be responsive to needs of internal customers and suppliers.
    • APICS Certified or the willingness to obtain certification within 24 months
    • Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
