    Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our CLEAN AIR facility located in GRASS LAKE, MI. 

     

    The Tenneco student program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute in an industry leading environment. As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. In addition to being assigned real projects that deliver results, students also participate in networking events, personal development training, and community service opportunities, among other activities that show you what Life at Tenneco is all about!

    This position will support the Clean Air business unit of Tenneco.

    Required Skills

    POSSIBLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Database research and projects Training system projects Engagement projects Assist with onboarding of hourly and salaried staff Assist with team activities

    REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to work independently and in a team based environment. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Effective time management skills. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work approximately 20 hours/week January-May & 40 hours/week May-August. Student currently enrolled in and in good standing with an accredited cooperative education program. Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business. Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Ability to travel between Tenneco facilities on a regular basis. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or Psychology.
