    This is a great opportunity for a HR MANAGER to join the Management team of our Valvetrain Plant (700 employees) in Blumberg.  

    The site is specialized in the development and manufacturing of high quality engine valves and valvetrain components that address high temperatures and mechanical loads.

    In this role you will serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership team, a champion of our core values, providing leadership in talent development, talent acquisition, change management, engagement and all company mandated Human Resource policies/procedures as well as legally required employment related laws and regulations for the facility.

    This role will report into the HR Director Europe and Plant director.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

    EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS:

    • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Human Resources through coaching and counseling Managers and employees
    • Act as an impartial advocate for all employees, ensuring that all issues are properly identified, reported and resolved
    • Develop, implement and manage employee communication and engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive and progressive work environment as well as cultural change
    • Responsible for the organization of the knowledge management system & process on a plant level

     TALENT ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT:

    • Identify gaps, develop creative and meaningful solutions to source and develop talent
    • Champion and coach the leadership team in best practices in talent acquisition, retention and succession planning

    HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION, COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND SAFETY:

    • Effectively manage all aspects of Human Resources Administration, Compensation, Benefits and Safety to ensure compliance with corporate policy and local laws
    • Drive initiatives and policies while being a champion for organizational consistency
    • Actively manage all evolutions of HR information systems incl. HR metrics, headcount reporting and payroll

     

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required
    • Significant experience in Human Resources
    • Multiple years in a managerial role including staff supervision preferable within a manufacturing environment
    • Experience in managing sub-functions of Human Resources in a plant setting
    • Strong talent acquisition, development and change management experience
    • Solid experience in pro-active employee engagement
    • Solid experience in working with the works council and external unions ideally in Germany
    • Experience in German Tariff Law
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, with strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
    • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
    • German language skills near native / fluent and English language skills good command / good working knowledge

    Required Experience
