    Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Human Resources (HR) focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Manufacturing Facility located in Kettering, OH

     

    As an HR INTERN you will be assigned a Mentor to guide, support and coach you throughout your internship experience at Tenneco.  You will also be responsible for supporting the HR Manager and team in accomplishing basic HR Tasks such as (but not limited to) the following:

     

    • Attendance tracking software projects
    • Database research and projects
    • Training system projects
    • Assist with team activities

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to work independently and in a Team based environment.
    • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • Must have experience with maintaining sensitive and confidential employment records and/or information.

     

    Required Experience

    • Student currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Business, Business Administration, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
    • Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
    • Student who resides within a commutable distance of the job site (Kettering, OH).
    • Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site.
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
