We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator - Payroll. The Human Resources Coordinator - Payroll. To participate in the overall productivity of the Human Resources department by processing appropriate compensation for all hourly employees, by administering company-provided benefits and by preparing associated supporting (statutory) documentation in a Unionized facility. To contribute to the company’s achievement of its objectives and priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration and processing of ALL payroll related activities for hourly manufacturing and contract employees including processing and tracking related cheque payments, labour, benefit or financial reports as required and year end requirements.
- Administer and maintain ADP payroll system
- Administer and maintain Time & Attendance Systems and provide training as required to appropriate staff.
- Maintain Grievance Payout log and Grievance Avoidance Log
- Contribute towards the company’s continuous quality improvement processes
- Annually apply for discount on E.I. Employer portion. Calculate E.I. Rebates for all employees and payout 5/12 to them. Process TVM generated from E.I. Employer discount
- Administer Canada Savings Bonds and United Way Campaign. Prepare listings for salary and hourly payroll deductions
- Produce letters as required for employees for employment verification or other payroll related issues.
- Administer or assist with Employee Welfare and Benefit programs (ie: Bereavement, Births, Scholarship Awards, Retirement Lunches, Retiree Coffee Club, Christmas Parties, Muffler Reimbursements, Newsletter write-ups, etc.)
- Comply with requirements and assist in maintenance of the necessary quality standards (QS9000/ISO/TS16949/ISO14001) to ensure re-certification. Actively participate in ongoing continual improvement activities and initiatives
- Collect and report monitoring data in support of the EHS management system
- Strive towards meeting company EHS goals
- Understand and follow all EHS policies
- Participate on EHS teams and committees
- Participate and promote EHS activities
- Report opportunities for improvement and any EHS issues
- Stop work activities that create EHS hazards
Required Skills
Required Experience
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- C.P.A.’s “Payroll Administrator” designation
- 3–5 years of payroll, accounting & H.R. business experience
- Excellent leadership & teaming skills. Attention to detail a must.
- Outstanding communication skills both written & oral
- Excellent PC skills: ADP system, spreadsheets, word processing
