    JOB ROLE

    The Logistics Coordinator manages the logistics flow, overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations and processes to achieve the effective purchasing and/or distribution of company products. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities, a customer-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, will be well versed in supply management principles and practices. 

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform daily material management in the SAP system: create material and purchasing master data, complete data entry, maintain current data in inventory system, receive and distribute material, etc. with efficiency and accuracy
    • Perform timely delivery planning of finished parts / raw material / maintenance, repair, and operating Supplies (MRO), create delivery notes / exit papers and other associated documents
    • Monitor the material costs in terms of planned and actual needs, supplies and inventory
    • Monitor minimum/maximum inventory levels and present proposals for optimization, carry out inventories
    • Dispatch of empties
    • Perform evaluation of suppliers in terms of timeliness of deliveries
    • Clarify quantity and price differences internally and externally; if necessary, processes claims
    • Ensure premium freight if needed
    • Support new product launches by ensuring new materials
    • Communicate with external/internal customers and logistics service providers to determine needs and potential solutions
    • Perform job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions
    • Maintain a safe and clean environment in work area
    • Support Lean, Continuous Improvement and 5S procedures and processes
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Logistics or equivalent related work experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in the automotive logistics environment
    • Working knowledge of SAP R/3

     

    SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of supply management principles and practices
    • Good command of German and English
    • Knowledge and ability to work with instructions, inventory procedures and safety regulations
    • Effective verbal and written communications
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Detail-oriented, record-keeping abilities
    • Customer-oriented approach
