    We are seeking a Category Manager. Reporting to the Director, Category Management, the Category Manager is responsible for comprehensive analytics support for the assigned customer.  The role will leverage our best-in-class sales tracking, assortment planning and inventory optimization tools to enable customer category growth and profitability objectives.  In addition, the category manager will establish an annual joint business planning process with the customer to gain clear alignment on specific category KPIs.  This critical, highly-visible customer support role will also collaborate with adjacent DRiV teams to add value for the customer via related business disciplines, including market intelligence, strategic pricing, category management and brand marketing.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Report to customer contacts weekly on category performance based on POS data

    • Track ROI for training events and promotional activity
    • Report results against industry and DRiV generated sales benchmarks
    • Report progress against category growth goals

    Manage customer inventory assortments in assigned categories

    • Review store-level stocking data
    • Recommend adjustments to optimize local coverage
    • Maximize multi-brand categories based on customer growth goals
    • Learn customer software systems as needed

    Act as category subject matter expert for all customer data requests

    Provide strategic category insight and thought leadership to customer management teams

    Lead creation of presentations as requested by the customer

    Foster relationship with key decision makers within the customer account

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree minimum

     

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Category Management – Automotive background a plus
    • Experience with automotive products desired, but not required
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional resources
    • Proficient in Excel and BI tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, etc.)
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Power BI a plus
